Airport Transfer with the Leonardo Express

In exactly 32 minutes, without any stops, you can reach Rome's main train station using the Leonardo Express. This train departs from the station directly connected to Fiumicino Airport and heads downtown. The Leonardo Express runs every 15 to 40 minutes depending on the time of day. Tickets can be purchased at the airport station and cost 14.00 euros for a single adult journey. Alternatively, tickets can also be purchased online in advance, allowing you to go straight to the Leonardo Express without waiting.

Airport Transfer by Train

For a less expensive option than the Leonardo Express, you can take the regional train FL1 from Fiumicino Airport. This train does not stop at Termini (the main station) but stops at "Tiburtina" where you can transfer to Metro Line B. It also stops at "Ostiense" where it intersects with Metro Line B, and at "Tuscolana" where you can transfer to Metro Line A. A single adult fare costs 8.00 euros. Alternatively, a 3-zone weekly pass can be used. If you make a round trip to Fiumicino Airport with this ticket, nearly 50% of the ticket price is already covered. Children up to 12 years old traveling with a paying adult can use the FL1 line for free.

Airport Transfer by Taxi

Another option for airport transfer is by taxi. With a fixed price of 48.00 euros for a ride to the city center within the city walls, there are no unexpected costs. Especially if a flight is delayed or arrives at night, considering a taxi is worth it. For 4 passengers, that's 12.00 euros per person per ride, which is cheaper than using the Leonardo Express.
